Red Nose Day, a global awareness campaign to highlight child poverty and a chance to collectively do something about it, happens again on May 24. Started in London, it picked up attention in the USA three years ago. While celebrities, especially comedians, will wear Red Noses, and television will promote the campaign during the day, the public is encouraged to purchase a Red Nose at Walgreen stores, and display their red nose during the day, post photos on social media. Globally, Red Nose Day has generated $1 billion toward fighting child poverty.
